When Bruce Lee returned to work in the Hong Kong film industry, his films spearheaded a wave of international popularity for Kung Fu cinema.

Kung Fu films are generally set in the Qing Dynasty or in early republican China (post 1911). The plot centres on the struggles between good and evil or nationalist struggles against foreign invaders, Shaolin disciples fighting the Manchu's and martial artists of the early republic fighting Japanese.

Although each film has it's own story to tell, the magic of each movie is the Kung Fu fighting which is unique to Hong kong cinema.

This fantastic collection of classical Kung Fu fight sequence is a time capsule of carefully choreographed martial art battles. These battles entertained the world in the Kung Fu craze years in the seventies and early eighties, and paved the way for Hollywood's re-launch of the genre with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The Matrix and Charlie's Angels.
