Following the tense cliffhanger from season 8, the new season of C.S.I.Miami kicks off with the second part in this feature length special where a member of the Miami Dade police force will lose their life. Things get very personal for Horatio Caine when his wife's murderer escapes from jail and quickly resumes his place at the top of the Miami underworld. Meanwhile veteran CSI Natalia (Eva La Rue) is kidnapped, murder most horrid raises its head at a roller derby match and a fire hydrant washes away all the evidence at a nearby crime scene.
