Albert is special. He can hear the fish talking under the ice. That's his secret to being a champion ice fisherman. He's well into his twenties, but his mother still takes him to tournaments, where all he can do is win - winning means cash, and he's won a lot of them. When street-smart Tuey and her hypochondriac teenaged brother Stan drift into Albert's quaint Milwaukee suburbs, they stumble on an opportunity to fill their empty pockets. Smooth-talking travelling salesman Jerry James has also just sleazed into town. He too, is always on the lookout for a quick buck. But, when his Mum is killed in a hit-and-run 'accident', everyone is after wide-eyed Albert's hidden fortune...
