DreamWorks' hilarious CGI animated match-up pits Monsters Vs. Aliens in a family-friendly battle of killer lines, slapstick action and sci-fi tomfoolery. Featuring the voice talent of Seth Rogen, Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd, prepare to laugh your way right through this cracking film. A light-hearted comedy akin to Bee Movie or Madagascar, Monsters Vs. Aliens sees sweet Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon - Legally Blonde) hit by a meteorite containing a powerful substance called quantonium. The intergalactic fossil fuel turns Susan into a 50-foot tall giant and she is soon captured by the government and locked up with some other top secret monsters. When Aliens attack, it's this rabble of giants, freaks and insane geniuses who must save the world from the dastardly Gallaxhar (Rainn Wilson - Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen). Play.com review As the latest instalment from Dreamworks in their slugging match with fellow CGI mega-studio Pixar, Monsters vs. Aliens has much to live up to. Last year, Dreamworks' Kung Fu Panda went toe-to-toe with Pixar's colossally successful Wall-E, and this year Monsters Vs. Aliens faces the much-anticipated Up for computer-generated supremacy. Luckily, in this kind of fight there's only one winner: us! With plenty of killer lines and slapstick action, the film is perfect for kids - both big and small - and like any Dreamworks production, there's more than enough plot to keep you gripped until the end. In fact, it's the perfect example of a present you'll buy for the kids - and end up keeping for yourself. Starring the voice talent of Hugh Laurie (House), Kiefer Sutherland (24), Seth Rogen (Funny People, Observe And Report), Will Arnett (G-Force) and Paul Rudd (I Love You, Man), the film has all the comedy kicks you could ever want, and the script has enough dynamite to keep Alfred Nobel happy! As far as the Dreamworks/Pixar sparring goes, Monsters Vs. Aliens has done its bit - it's over to you Up!
