It'S Alive (DVD)

There is only one thing wrong with the Davis baby... It's Alive! Josef Rusnack's remake of Larry Cohen's 1974 cult horror, It's Alive, tones down the comedy and ramps up the guts, updating the subversive tale for a modern audience. This grisly and gruesome update tells the story of Lenore (Bijou Phillips, Hostel: Part II), a woman who seemingly has everything she ever wanted: a beautiful home, a loving boyfriend (James Murray of TV's Primeval) and a baby on the way. The fate of the happy family takes a gory turn when animals and people end up brutally dead - all with a strange connection to their newborn. Could their new addition be the monster responsible for the gruesome murders?
