Directed by Ken Annakin, the celebrated filmmaker behind such classics as Paper Tiger, The Battle Of The Bulge and Monte Carlo Or Bust, Landfall is an enthralling and unforgettable WWII drama. Based upon a novel by Nevil Shute, the best selling author of A Town Like Alice and On The Beach, Landfall stars a host of British talent including Michael Denison (Shadowlands, The Magic Box), Patricia Plunkett (Dunkirk, Mandy) and an appearance from future Hollywood star Laurence Harvey (Butterfield 8, The Manchurian Candidate). Rick is a young pilot in the R.A.F during WWII. As part of the coastal command squadron it's his job to destroy any invading German U-boats, but after a bombing raid Rick is charged with neglect. What he thought was a German sub was in fact British. Or is there more to this story than he initially realised? Will the truth eventually rise to the surface? Or is it already too late for young Rick?
