Four stories set at the end of the Mozambican war in a small village struggling to survive in the face of great adversity. During war, most of the fighting in the country's interior region was a result of the scarcity of water sources, and many boreholes were destroyed so as not to fall into enemy hands. Now, there are only four infrequently functioning borehole water pumps that cater for the entire village - even the dogs struggle to support their parched masters in traditional hunts. In the face of great adversity, the villagers rally to apply ancestral methods to preserve water resources.
