Set in Cornwall at the onset of WWII, Cornish fisherman Nat Pomeroy (Walls) finds himself at odds with French rival Lannec Florrie (Rosay), aggravated further by the fact that Florrie's son Yan (Paul Dupuis) is dating his daughter Sue (Patricia Roc).
However, the arrival of Nazi warships means Nat and Lannec must put their differences aside and find a way of thwarting this latest threat.
