But life has other plans for Nicky and from his first moment of freedom he can't seem to help but make trouble for himself despite the incentives of his kid Danny and his girl Noreen. Forced by an incredible run of bad luck, Nicky rekindles a hard man reputation he can't shake off, bringing trouble and strife back into his life in the form of the mad Mickey Cousins, hard man Rameez, policeman Holdsworth and old-time villain Fitch. And it's only when the stakes become Danny's future that Nicky's luck finally changes.
