Gangster Jack Martin (Walter Matthau) is on the run from the law after killing a cop. Laying low in a small town and fast running out of cash, he pulls a daring bank robbery and nets himself a substantial sum of money. Now he has to deal not only with the police, but with a local crime boss angered at not being given his cut. Gangster Story is the one and only film directed by the legendary Walter Matthau.
