Charles Bronson (Death Wish) plays mixed-race Chino Valdez, a loner who runs a horse ranch outside of a small community in the American southwest. One day, Jimmy, a young runaway (Vincent Van Patten) rides to his isolated home where Chino offers him food and shelter for the night. Taking the boy in, he trains him in the art of breaking in horses and as a friendship develops, the loner starts to desire a normal life. However, not everything is 'rosy' for Chino as many of the people in the nearest town don't take kindly to mixed-race people like him, and his visits to the town often end up in a fight. Chino's neighbour is also trying to drive him away, after realizing that he and his sister Catherine (Jill Ireland) are involved romantically... As the town's resentment grows stronger, Chino soon realizes he's going to have to take a stand or be forced to leave. This classic spaghetti western was directed by John Sturges (Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, The Great Escape) and Duilio Coletti (Under Ten Flags).
